Heritage Acres and The Vancouver Island Model Engineers are hosting “The Halloween Pumpkin Express”.  They are DESPERATE!! Royal Victoria Marathon Volunteer Opportunity!   The Royal Victoria Marathon is looking for Route Marshals for Sunday, October 9th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  The Route Marshall’s role is to ensure the participants stay on track and that any vehicle or pedestrian is informed of what is going on. Who Can Become a Scientist?  The University of Victoria's Let's Talk Science will be putting on a virtual symposium that discusses equity, diversity, and inclusion issues in science. In this second edition, they will reflect on the traditional image of scientists and the importance of leveraging support from role models and mentors to increase diversity in STEM.  October 11, 8:45 am to 11:00 am in Room 41.
