GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Welcome to semester 2 Stelly’s staff and students! If you are unsure of your classes, please visit Brightspace to get a copy of your schedule. Course change forms are available in the counselling office and Career Centre and must be dropped off to the Career Centre by this Friday.
February is Black History Month! 🎉 Join the BIPOC & Allies Club for exciting events all month long. Check out the Diversity board across from the Learning Commons for all the details!
BLK: An Origin Story, created by Canadian filmmakers, will be shown today at 11:30 am (lunchtime) in the counselling conference room. Everyone is welcome.
Are you interested in being part of the Parkland Sailing Academy this Spring? This program is open to Parkland & Stelly’s students. The season runs April 12 to June 14, 2026, and takes place at the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club. Practices are twice a week - a weekday after school, and a morning or afternoon session on Sundays. Please email your expression of interest and any questions to Ms Caroline Hassett - chassett@saanichschools.ca. You may also register online from the Sailing Academy section on Parkland’s website here. The deadline is March 1st.
Leadership will be selling Candygrams on February 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th in the main foyer for $2. They will be distributed on February 12th.

GRAD 2026
Grad Spirit Week is this week! Today is ½ Francy and tomorrow is the 2000's. Check the grad Instagram page for the other theme days.

The next Parent After Grad meeting is on Monday February 9th at 7pm in the Learning Commons. We invite all grad parents and guardians to attend. The After Grad is a very special event for the students and takes a lot of people to be involved. If you haven’t checked out a meeting yet, make this your month to do so!
The Dry Aftergrad Event committee is starting to collect donations for door prizes and raffles as well as donors and sponsors for the dry aftergrad event. Please click on the link to see our list of potential sponsors and consider signing up for one or two. Are you a business owner or know of a business who would be willing to sponsor the event? Please feel free to add to our list!

CAREER CENTRE
Butchart Gardens will be holding their annual job fair Wednesday, February 18 | 5:30pm-7:30pm. They are recruiting for spring and summer employment. If you need help with your resume and cover letter, see us in the Career Centre.
The Canadian Armed Forces will be coming to the Career Centre Thursday, February 19 at lunchtime to talk to students about different career opportunities.
Skills Canada Competitions are coming to Camosun March 6th. Show your skills, compete, and have fun!. For a list of events and to sign up, see your Career teacher. The deadline to apply is February 19th.
Any students who are interested in Math or English tutoring opportunities, please visit the Career Centre to add your name to the list.
SISP INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM STUDENTS
Monday February 2 - Optional Drop in for New Term 2 Students during lunch block in the Learning Commons. Staff will be on hand to answer questions. Bring your own lunch!
Wednesday February 4 - Mandatory Mt Washington Pre-Trip Meeting during lunch block in the Learning Commons for all students participating in this trip. Bring your own lunch. Any new Term 2 students needing to connect with staff are also welcome to drop in to the Learning Commons during lunch block for assistance (optional).
Thursday February 5 - Mandatory Homestay and Travel Application Meeting for all new Term 2 Students during lunch block in Classroom 9.
