GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Attention all Grade 9 and 10 French immersion and FSL students! Interested in participating in an unforgettable 1-month exchange in Lyon, France, next year and making friendships that will last a lifetime? Come learn about this amazing travel opportunity in Mr Barchen's room (room 11) this Thursday at 11:15. À bientôt!
There will be a lunchtime meeting on Friday, February 20 in Room 19 for anyone interested in travelling to the Netherlands, Belgium, and France in 2027. Come learn more and ask questions. All interested students are welcome!
Stelly's Social Studies Department is hosting a Teen Town Hall today in block 3. This is an opportunity to meet and hear from our elected Federal Member of Parliament, Ms. Elizabeth May. Invited classes will be present, but individual students interested in attending should speak to their block 3 teachers to see if they might be given permission to attend. MP May will be taking questions from the audience, but students can also pass questions to any Social Studies teacher and these will be delivered to Ms. May for her response.
Attention Stelly’s Stingers, do you like to act, dance or sing - sign up for the upcoming coffee concert! The sign-up sheet is located outside the band room. Sign-ups close on February 23rd so get your name in soon! And speaking of the coffee concert, come on out on February 25th to support the performing arts department and see some amazing performances! The concert starts at 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm, and entry is by donation. See you all there!
Next Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day- please wear your pink shirt in support of anti-bullying.

ATHLETICS
Jr and sr girls soccer tryouts Thursday after school from 2:30-3:00 at Centennial Park.
Those that are interested in joining the Tennis Team, there will be a meeting at lunch in room 22 Friday. See Ms. Miller or Ms. Lizama for more details.

Grads: Today is your deadline to submit your Grad quote! Please fill out the google form on the Grad Google classroom today.
All grads: please come to Mr. Hart’s computer lab (Room 47) at lunch today to sign the Grad page for this year’s yearbook. Again, all grads should stop by the computer lab during lunch today!
Grads, are you looking for a dress or tux for graduation? The Magic Wand Project is a non-profit organization that offers an eco-friendly and inexpensive alternative to grad outfits for boys and girls. They rent out grad wear for a small cleaning fee. Details can be found at www.themagicwandproject.ca.

CAREER CENTRE
Butchart Gardens will be holding their annual job fair today from 5:30pm-7:30pm. They are recruiting for spring and summer employment. If you need help with your resume and cover letter, see us in the Career Centre.
The Canadian Armed Forces will be coming to the Career Centre Thursday, February 19 at lunchtime to talk to students about different career opportunities.
Skills Canada Competitions are coming to Camosun March 6th. Show your skills, compete, and have fun!. For a list of events and to sign up, see your Career teacher. The deadline to apply is February 19th.
DND is coming to the Career Centre Monday, March 2nd @ lunchtime to talk to students about their paid summer work experience program (FSWEP). Students will be working in unique trades to support the naval fleet.
If you are interested in this program, please come to the Career Centre for an application form.
Any students who are interested in Math or English tutoring opportunities, please visit the Career Centre to add your name to the list.
