There are over 95  Diploma Verifications missing from the Grade 12’s. Please hand in at the Career Centre ASAP!

University of Alberta is visiting Stelly’s TOMORROW on Friday, November 4th at lunch in the Conference Room. (go through the Counselling area). Come  Check it out!

Are you interested in going to France and Italy on Spring Break of 2024? We are going for 10 days and looking for a few more students to come on this adventure. An early registration discount has been extended until Christmas. Please see Ms Liberatore or the poster on the wall outside of the Learning Commons for more information. 

Homework Help is available every morning from 7:15 am to 8:20 am in Room 46 and after school in the Learning Commons until 4 pm.

UVic Virtual Parents Night- Nov 13th    -  Parent nights are for parents and guardians of high school students, but your students are welcome to join you! In these online events, we'll answer your questions about admission requirements, scholarships and upcoming application deadlines, and offer advice on helping your children successfully transition to life in university.  Events are scheduled in Pacific Time. LEARNING TO LEAD™ TRADES | NOVEMBER 25-27, 2022     Minerva's Learning to Lead™ Trades program is for self-identified girls who are looking to gain confidence in their leadership, and are curious to learn about the career prospects in Trades. New employment program YESS (Youth Employment Skill Strategy) starts at ICA. This program is one-on-one job counselling which tails to the individual needs of Immigrant Youth aged 15 to 30 who are looking for jobs.  See the Saanich Career Education website https://careered.sd63.bc.ca/   for more information.

Katimavik National Experience is a life-changing experience for young adults to explore Canada, make new friendships, gain valuable experience and contribute to positive change through volunteerism.  You will be participating in volunteering for 30 hrs. week - learning about Indigenous peoples in Canada - team building - designing and implementing community projects.  See the website for more.  Applications are open for the January 2023 cohort which runs from January 11 to June 14, 2023 or July 14 to December 13, 2023.  See the Saanich Career Education website at https://careered.sd63.bc.ca/? Airline ground services company at the Victoria International Airport is looking to hire full and part-time baggage handlers.  Job consists of unloading/loading aircraft of baggage and freight, marshalling, towing aircraft, aircraft interior cleaning.  Employees must be able to drive baggage tugs, belt loaders & other ramp side equipment.  Starting wage $18.25/hr with steady increases … Must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather, be able to lift up to 50lbs, plus be able to kneel, crawl, and work in tight spaces.  Having a driver's license is a plus.
