GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

Yearbook has our first meeting at lunch today in Room 47. Please come if you are enrolled in the class or if you are interested in learning more about creating this year's yearbook!

There will be a meeting to kick off our cross-country season in room 19 this Wednesday, September 11 during the lunch break. Speak to Mr. Loenen or Ms. Miller if you have any questions. Reminder: running is a fantastic way to improve your cardiovascular fitness! Join us for a race and see improvements in all other athletic pursuits!

A message from the Learning Commons: Please remember to return all overdue textbooks to the Learning Commons as soon as possible. You will not be issued new text books if you have overdue books.  Grade nine students may return their Bayside textbooks to our Learning Commons.

School bus passes are available for those students who received confirmation of application. They have been distributed during students’ block 1 classes. If you’ve been away or in some way missed yours, please check in at the front office.

Are you a student who drives a vehicle to school? If so, your vehicle needs to be registered to park in the parking lot. Forms are available in the main office, and must be completed and returned for a windshield decal which must be displayed. You are not permitted to park in any spot marked ‘Reserved’ or ‘Visitor’.

Junior Boys Soccer tryouts are this Tuesday (10th) and Thursday (12th) from 3:15 to 4:30 on the back field

CAREER CENTRE

Keep those orange forms coming to the Career Centre folks, you have until the end of day, Thursday, September 12th. 

Future fire fighters, applications for Fire Camp are in the Career Centre, they're due Friday the 13^th of September so come get on it if you want in on Fire Camp!

Looking for a part time job? The library in Sidney is hiring a page to work between five and seven hours a week. Saanichton Co-op is hiring a deli attendant and Dominos Pizza in Sidney is looking for a delivery driver.

The Canadian University Event Field Trip is coming up next Tuesday, September 17th. If you're in grade 11 or 12 and interested in attending a Canadian University and want to meet a recruiter to ask questions, don't miss out! A bus will be leaving Stelly's at 12:45 and will bring you back to catch your bus home. Forms are available in the Career Centre (room 45) and are due this Friday.
