GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

There will be a meeting to kick off our cross-country season in room 19 this Wednesday, September 11 during the lunch break. Speak to Mr. Loenen or Ms. Miller if you have any questions. Reminder: running is a fantastic way to improve your cardiovascular fitness! Join us for a race and see improvements in all other athletic pursuits!

Just a reminder that Global Perspectives 11 will have its first class today at lunch in the Learning Commons. Please bring your lunch.

The first GSA meeting will be this Thursday the 12th at lunchtime in room 48. Everyone is welcome!!

A message from the Learning Commons: Please remember to return all overdue textbooks to the Learning Commons as soon as possible. You will not be issued new text books if you have overdue books.  Grade nine students may return their Bayside textbooks to our Learning Commons.

We are excited to welcome all of our families to Stelly’s this year with a Welcome Back BBQ and meet-the-teacher evening. The schedule can be found below.  Child Minding is available for those families with young children.

• 7:15 - 8:15: Learning Session with Tina Savae on The Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada

Clubs Day is coming up on Friday September 13th at lunchtime in the main foyer! This is your chance to dive into the amazing world of clubs and activities that Stelly’s has to offer. Whether you’re into fishing, creative writing, Dungeons & Dragons, or paddling, there’s something for everyone!

GRAD 2025

On Wednesday September 18th, parents of 2025 Grads are invited to the first Parent Grad Meeting in the Learning Commons beginning at 7pm 

ATHLETICS

Junior Boys Soccer tryouts are this Tuesday (10th) and Thursday (12th) from 3:15 to 4:30 on the back field

Senior Boys Soccer tryouts are also this Tuesday (10th) from 3:15 to 4:30pm and Thursday (12th) from 2:15 to 3:30 happening on the back field. See you all there!

CAREER CENTRE

Keep those orange forms coming to the Career Centre folks, you have until the end of day, Thursday, September 12th. 

Future firefighters, applications for Fire Camp are in the Career Centre, they're due THIS Friday the 13th of September so come get on it if you want in on Fire Camp!

Looking for a part time job? Check the Career Ed Website. There's a QR code posted on the Career Board which will take you right there. Jobs are updated daily. 

The Canadian University Event Field Trip is coming up next Tuesday, September 17th. Grade 11's and 12's interested in attending a Canadian University - don't miss out on a chance to meet with University Rep's from across Canada in a fun & casual setting! A bus will be leaving Stelly's at 12:45 and will bring you back to catch your bus home. Forms are available in the Career Centre (room 45) and are due this Friday.
