GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Our neighbours with the miniature horses would like to remind all students that they are not to be fed anything. These are elderly animals who are choking on apples being tossed into their property. Please stop - thank you!
A friendly reminder that the first Culture Club meeting will be TODAY @ 11:15 am in room 49. Our guest panel will be students from Germany. All panel members will receive a thank you gift. A Canadian snack will be provided. Bring your lunch and let's learn about Germany! See you then. ALL ARE WELCOME.
Do you know a 2024 Stelly’s Graduate? Please let them know that their high school diploma is now available in the school’s main office for pickup!
Are you interested in going on a fabulous adventure to Portugal and Spain this upcoming March? Please go see Ms Lizama in room 49 to pick up an information package
School photos can be ordered online, but if you are submitting your order manually, the form and money are due to the office by Friday, October 11th.

October 8 - Parents Advisory Council Meeting at 6:30pm (in-person in the Learning Commons or virtually via MS Teams) - come on out and join in the discussion and decisions on how we’re going to support our students in their educational & extra-curricular paths.
October 14 - Thanksgiving Day (school closed)
October 16 - Harvest Hoedown Dance 6:30 - 9:30pm. Tickets are $5 each and available to buy from October 8th to 16th in the main foyer at lunch. Don’t miss out!
October 25 - Non-Instructional Day (no classes in session)
October 29 - Photo Retake Day
ATHLETICS
This afternoon, your Junior Girls Gold Volleyball team is playing at Esquimalt, the Jr Girls Maroon team is playing at PCS and the Junior Girls Black team plays their only home game of the season at 4pm in the Big Gym. Go Stingers!
Senior Girls Volleyball team have their home opener tomorrow (Wednesday) night! Games start at 6pm in the large gym! Come out and cheer them on!
The Junior Girls Maroon team have an upcoming tournament on October 18th.

GRAD 2025
October 17 - Grad Parent Information Session from 6 - 7:30pm
CAREER CENTRE
The Canadian Armed Forces representatives are here today for an information session in the Career Centre at Lunch Time. All are welcome. Come check out the diverse opportunities available serving our country.
Kings College, known for their Journalism program, will be here during lunch break tomorrow to speak with interested students about life at Kings. Look for them in the main foyer.
Another big employer out here is the Canadian Coast Guard, join us in the Career Centre tomorrow at lunch break for a fun, casual meeting with real deal Coast Guard employees. See you there!
University of Calgary will be here this Thursday, October 10th at 1st break to answer any questions you might have about U of C!

Please note that student attendance is recorded as excused if we receive communication from a parent/guardian, not when a student signs out during the day, unless we’ve heard from you.
