GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Today is your last chance to buy your ticket to the Halloween Dance coming up next week! Tickets will be on sale for $5 in the main foyer today at lunch! Get them before it’s too late!
Everyone is welcome to participate in the following spirit week events, starting next week. Block one teachers will hand out tickets to those students who participate. Students will write their name and grade on the back of the ticket and drop it off in a box at the office during their breaks for a chance to win a prize.
Monday Oct 27th: Denim Day-come dressed in your best denim outfit
Tuesday Oct 28th: Tired Tuesday-come dressed in your comfiest clothes
Wednesday Oct. 29th: Wednesday Wednesday-this is not a typo. Come dressed in your best Addams Family look
Thursday Oct. 30th: Plaid Party-come dressed in your plaid or flannel
Friday Oct. 31st: Costumes-wear your Halloween costumes to school
All are invited to Stelly’s upcoming Halloween concert on Wednesday October 29th! Join the Junior & Senior Bands, Vocal Jazz, Choir and Jazz Band who are performing their latest music pieces for you. Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7pm; admission is by donation & there will also be a bake sale at intermission. Come out and show your support of our young musicians!
Halloween / Costume Contest: October 31st
There will be photos taking place in the main foyer at lunchtime. Photos will be posted in the grade wide google classroom. Students will be asked to vote during the end of block 4. Voting will stay open until the following morning.

ATHLETICS
A big congratulations to the Cross Country team for their performances at the Island Championships yesterday. All athletes had strong runs on the muddy, rainy trails. Five athletes qualified for the BC Championships Nov 1st! Ryder Stubbs, Egan Franey, Marcus Leon, Emilian Holmgren and Brecon Gould - Well done!
Good luck to the Senior Boys Soccer team who have their first playoff game after school today at Centennial Park against PCS! Go Stingers!
There will be Junior Boys Basketball tryouts happening on Thursday November 6th at 3:15 in the large gym.

Book club will meet at lunch today in the Learning Commons
GRAD 2026
Pumpkin Carving: On Wednesday, October 29th we will be carving pumpkins during lunch! There will be prizes to be won! Make sure you sign up on the grad google classroom.
Grad movie night: We will be having a grad movie night on Monday, October 27th. It will be held in the MPR, doors open at 6:30pm and the movie starts at 7pm. It is free entry, but make sure to bring cash for the concession!
October’s Grad photo times are all booked up - did you miss it? Our February bookings for retakes & missed fall sessions are now open online. Please book your time through their website (https://artona.com/bookings) or by using the QR code that is on the Grad board in the main foyer.

CAREER CENTRE
Hair students from Studio 63 will be offering curling, straightening, and scalp massages during lunchtime on Tuesday, October 28th. If you're interested, stop by the Career Centre!
Are you a student in grade 9 or 10 interested in a career in health? Hands on Health Day at Camosun is happening November 19th. Sign up in the Career Centre. The deadline to apply is November 13th.
