GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

 

The BIPOC & Allies Club will be meeting in the conference room today at lunchtime.

 

The Cafeteria will be offering only break service on Monday November 10th. We will be offering pizza sales during the lunch break, $3 per slice, while supplies last.

 

In observance of Remembrance Day, poppies will be available at the door on Monday prior to the ceremony. If you would like to donate, please bring some change to school for collection in support of the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund. If you would like to donate ahead of time and/or grab a poppy, please stop by the office to do so. Thank you in advance for your support.

 

Stelly’s Global Gala is happening on Thursday November 27th from 5-8:30pm. Please come out and support Global Perspectives Grade 12 students’ humanitarian project in Tanzania! There will be a silent auction, food and entertainment. Tickets are $15 and available to purchase from a Global 12 student.

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to our senior boys soccer team on making Provincials for the first time in 15 years! They fought hard at the Island Championships finishing 4th and booking a trip to the 2A Provincials! Congrats Senior Boys!

The Senior Boys Basketball tryouts are Monday November 10 at 3:15 in the large gym.

Hey Grads! Would you like to reduce the cost of your ticket to PROM? Consider fundraising with winter plants! Each item sold helps reduce your ticket cost by $5. CAREER CENTRE

The Victoria Grizzlies are looking for volunteers for their November games. Use this link to sign up. You must sign up at least 24 hours before the game.

Any students who are interested in joining Police Camp during Spring Break need to apply by November 14th.

The Canadian Coast Guard will be here to talk to students about career opportunities and answer questions on Tuesday, November 18th at lunchtime in the Career Centre. 

Tech Works Day is coming to Camosun soon. Students will have the opportunity to explore technology-driven and tech-enabled careers through hands-on experiences. Sign up at the Career Centre.
