GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS 

There is a meeting for the Swim Team today at lunch in room 40. See you there!

The Social Justice Club is meeting today at lunch in room 30. 

Stelly’s Grad Winter Formal tickets are on sale starting TODAY until December 5th. Tickets are $25 each, for grads only. Also on sale are Grad lanyards - $5 each.

Stelly’s cafeteria is committed to reducing waste and offering healthy, affordable, and sustainable meals to students and staff. Please consider bringing your own reusable cutlery when purchasing meals from the cafeteria. There will now be a charge of $0.50 to purchase disposable cutlery.

We have some bus cards left as well as photo packages available for pick up in the main office. If you ordered a photo package and haven’t received it yet, please come by and check.

For students parking in the parking lot, please pick up a registration form from the office, if you haven’t already done so, because any vehicle parked must have a valid sticker displayed.

Don’t forget to complete your Grad quote for the yearbook! Deadline is December 22nd, but like in all things, the earlier the better (or risk having nothing included).

CAREER CENTRE

Deep Cove Elementary PAC is seeking volunteers for their Winter Fair on Friday, December 8th from 3:30-8:30pm. Your duties would include helping to run the games, crafts, etc ... and each volunteer earns five free tickets and free fair entrance!

Sidney Scones in hiring a part-time front-of-house person with flexible availability. They offer free scones, a fun working environment and awesome training. Pop into the shop anytime between Thursday-Monday at 9762 Third Street with your resume. 

Some of the many wonderful things about living on the coast are the opportunities to play and work at sea. Additionally - you can join the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets; a program open to youth between the ages of 12-18 that teaches teamwork, problem solving, communication .. all through the lens of a maritime focus. Interested? Mark your calendar for Thursday, December 7th - we will have an information booth in the Career Centre. You should come.

Speaking of a career at sea, right now Camosun is offering a fully funded program open to all Indigenous and women who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. It's the Bridge Watch Rating Program and it's an introduction to a nautical career .. which can range from sailing the world on a cruise ship, oil tankers, BC Ferries or captaining Little Wayne's super yacht!
