GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Thank you for everyone’s support at the Global Gala last night - it was a huge success! The Global Perspective students appreciate the many donations for their silent auction, the delicious food prepared by Stelly’s Kitchen and Global students, Butterfly Gardens for bringing in a turtle (and other creatures) and everyone who came out to participate. Your support is greatly appreciated by the grade 12 students heading to Costa Rica in the Spring! It was a beautiful demonstration of community - Great job Stelly’s!
Today is pizza day! Sales will be directed through the Cafeteria, although there will be no regular cafeteria sales during this time. $3/slice and you have a choice of cheese, pepperoni or Hawaiian. We will now be able to accept payments by cash, debit, credit and lunch cards.
The Textile Arts program runs a FREE rack of clothing for both the program and for the greater school population. We welcome and accept all donations of clothing and accessories. We are especially in need of denim and wool sweaters which are versatile for repurposing into many different projects. As we also cover mending, repairing and altering, the donated items are often of interest. So please, if you are considering thinning out your closets, consider sending them our way.
Last week, immunization consent packages for grade 9 students were sent home from the school. If you have not already done so, please return the completed consent form to the school office in the sealed envelope as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact the local Peninsula Health Unit at 250-544-2400.
