GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
The Culture Club will be meeting today in room 49 at lunchtime. The panel guests will be students from Italy and Spain. All are welcome!
This is just a reminder that we will be running a school-wide double block schedule today and tomorrow to allow enough time for Literacy and Numeracy assessments. Morning breaks for those NOT writing the assessments will occur at the usual time.

The Stelly's Fall order for school merch is now open! Get yourself a cozy hoodie, comfy sweats or a trendy Stelly's tote to rock your Stinger pride! Orders over $50 will receive a free Stelly's tumbler! Links to the website can be found posted around the school or linked on The Hive's Instagram. The Textiles free rack is all stocked up and ready for you to come and “shop”! The rack is located just outside the textiles room (#59).
Student bus passes have now arrived and are available for pickup in the main office - during the breaks, lunchtime and after school only please.
Some student photo packages have arrived! If your family ordered a photo package from the September session, your photos have arrived and are in the main office. This does not include retakes from Monday. Please come pick them up.

Additional Graduation photo times have opened up. If you haven’t already booked yours, go online today to choose your time and day! We currently have approximately 25 grads who have not yet signed up. If you are one of those, please go online and get a spot!

Hey Grads! Want to reduce the cost of your Dinner/Dance ticket? Consider fundraising by selling winter plants. Send your family, friends, and local businesses to the link found in the Google classroom to order plants. Have them put
your name in the "Special Notes" field. $5 from each plant ordered will go to reduce *your* cost for the Dinner/Dance. All orders must be in by November 10th at midnight. Volunteer at the Shoal Centre Christmas Craft fair! YEP and Beacon Community Services are seeking volunteers to help out at this fun event that will get you in the Christmas spirit! The event runs from 9:30am-2pm. For more info email yep@beaconcs.ca

A family in Saanichton is seeking a high school student to do light gardening work for a minimum of 2 hours per week, beginning now until mid-December. Pay is $20 per hour, cash. If interested come see Katherine in the Career Centre for more info!
Aspiring filmmakers, listen up!!! Work Safe BC is holding a Student Safety Video Contest and there is a total of ten thousand dollars to be won! It's open to high school students across BC and the deadline isn't until April so there's lots of time to get it done. Staying focused at work is the theme for this year's contest.
