Do you like to play BINGO? Join the BIPOC & Allies Club at lunchtime today in the conference room for a round of BINGO with prizes. All are welcome.

Today is your last day to bring in a loonie to the office to help fund 1000x5, which is an organization that helps bring accessible books to children. 

The deadline is on Monday to order your Stelly’s merch - online sales close on June 2nd! Don’t miss your chance to show off your school spirit with hoodies, tees, sweatpants, and more. Donations will still be accepted today in support of the Global Perspectives 11 class who have a teen donation drive in support of the Sanctuary Youth Centre in Victoria. There are bins in the main foyer to collect clothing, games, non-perishable food items, books & old text books.

Are you between 17 and 35? Interested in saving lives? Go to room 30 at lunch on Monday June 2nd for a presentation and chance to sign up to be a stem cell donor. Please note that this event was moved from last Monday.

The FREE Clothing Rack is overflowing with some great new items. See something you like? Take it and wear it! Lots to choose from so come and check it out - just outside the textiles room! 

 

Congratulations to the Stelly’s Jazz Band who played their year-end concert at Jazz in the Park last night! Thank you to the students who performed and to the community supporters!

 

Stelly's Senior Drama Presents: 

"The Bold, the Young and the Murdered", a comedic murder mystery on the set of a failing soap opera.

June 4th-6th at 7pm, and June 7th at 1pm. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

Tickets are $10 at the Stelly's front office now and at the door.

 

On Thursday June 5th, GSA is celebrating Pride by hosting a Pride lunch held in the front foyer. At the celebration, there will be a bake sale, temporary tattoos and pins sold by donation. They encourage you to wear rainbow colours that day and come visit the foyer at lunch to show your support. 

 

Monday June 9th Stelly’s Music Department invites you to their Year-End BBQ & Concert. Choir, Vocal Jazz, Jr. Band and Sr. Band will all perform starting at 7pm. A BBQ will be happening in front of the school from 5-7pm. Burger/chips/drink for $10. Hope you are able to come out and support the students!

 

On June 12th, Stelly’s Junior Musical Theatre presents “The Best of Broadway”. The doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm. Tickets are $5 at the door.

The Stelly's Dry Grad parent committee are still looking for donations of any kind to fill the Grad raffle baskets for the Dry After Grad Celebration. Please drop off any gift cards/unused gifts/toiletries/mugs/candies/ chocolates/candles/ball caps/cash/anything a Grad may like and drop off in the office. Many thanks!

GRAD 2025 - Lots of information will be coming in the next few weeks, if you are or have a grad, please read this section thoroughly

For any grad who hasn’t yet paid for their dinner dance, payment is due by June 6th at the very latest. Fundraising amounts have been added to online student school accounts if you’d like to see the amount owing and to pay online. If you have any questions about grad money owed, please see Mrs. Youell in the accounting office.

Attention Grads: Tickets for the recognition ceremony at UVic were emailed to the graduating student's school email address on this past Friday, May 23rd. If you did not receive your tickets, please note that there are still some students who are missing a requirement and need to see Mrs. Pryer in the office right away. 

Extra Tickets will be on sale Friday, May 30th at 9.30am through the UVic Ticket Centre. Please call: 250-721-8480, open Monday - Friday, 9:30am till 4pm. Extra tickets are $10 each. 4 extra ticket limit per student (more may become available the following week). All tickets will be booked under the students name and emailed to the student email on file.

The Parents Dry After Grad Committee is looking for parent volunteers on June 26th! If your student is graduating and you want to be a part of making memories, please head to our signup  (https://signup.com/group/80286598095) and choose your time and activity. We are also looking for any parents of grade 11’s who would like to be a part of the evening to get a first-hand look at how it all rolls out. Please sign up through the same link. Thank you everyone in advance for your contributions - this event takes A LOT of people to make happen, so please consider giving some time to make this memorable.

June 4 - Parent Dry After Grad Committee is having one of their last 2 meetings before the big day! They are needing folks to help out and support the event so please consider spending some time in helping plan and ensure that everything is in order to bring it all together 😀

CAREER CENTRE

Coast Guard Day is happening Thursday, June 5th. If you are interested in learning about careers in the Coast Guard, see us in the Career Centre for field trip forms. Permission forms are due by May 30th.

Whistler Adventure School is doing a virtual presentation on Tuesday, June 10 at lunchtime in the Career Centre. If you are interested in post-secondary options or GAP year opportunities with WAS please come to the presentation.
