GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Are you interested in business and entrepreneurship? On May 31st, Claremont is hosting a Business Case Study Competition! You can compete individually or in teams of 4. There will be food and prizes, so don’t miss out! Talk to Mr. Loenen if you’re interested in signing up.
With Springtime here, we are noticing a lot more vehicles parked in the school lot that are not registered and are therefore at risk of being towed. The “RESERVED” spots are STAFF ONLY and assigned. VISITOR spots are for our visitors, not for student use. Students are only permitted to park in the spots without staff or visitor designations. Please be respectful and do not displace our staff. If your vehicle is not registered and displaying a decal, please see the main office for paperwork that needs to be completed, otherwise, there will not be enough space for everyone and unregistered vehicles will be towed. Thank you for your cooperation.
On Thursday May 22nd, Stelly’s is having a Tropical Spring Dance! Tickets will be on sale May 20th to May 22nd at lunch in the main foyer for $5 each. This dance is open to Stelly’s students only and happens from 6:30-9:30pm in the MPR. There will be a concession stand, and s’mores in the amphitheatre! Come out and enjoy the last dance of the school year! Get your tickets next week.

On Saturday May 24th, the 2025 Grad Bottle Drive is happening in the Stelly’s parking lot from 9am to noon! We are hoping you can come out to volunteer, but we are also looking for any returnables you’d be willing to donate. This is our parent committee’s last bottle drive before the 2026 grad parents take over, so please come out and support our fundraising effort!
If there are any 2026 grad parents interested in coming out on May 24th to see what the bottle drives are all about, we’d love to have you join us in the fun(draising)!
And after the bottle drive, come out and support the Grad Parents’ last Meat Draw fundraiser at Brewsky’s! It runs from 2-4pm on Saturday the 24th and also has a 50/50 draw! Hope to see you there!
Grads, are you looking for a dress or tux for graduation? The Magic Wand Project is a non-profit organization that offers an eco-friendly and inexpensive alternative to grad outfits for boys and girls. They rent out grad wear for a small cleaning fee. Details can be found at www.themagicwandproject.ca.
SCRAP METAL RECYCLING: There’s a large blue metal recycling bin in the upper parking lot by the street that is awaiting your scrap metal donations. If you have any metal stuff at home, in your yard or in the shed that you want to get rid of, it’s accessible 24/7 for drop-off and proceeds go towards the 2025 Stelly’s Dry Grad.
