GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS 

Happy Asian Heritage Month! To celebrate Asian Heritage Month, join us in the main foyer at lunchtime today for an Asian-themed candy give away! 

The BIPOC & Allies Club will not meet today, but all active members are asked to volunteer at lunchtime today to hand out Asian inspired free candy to all Stelly's community members in the school foyer.  All interested club members please see Ms. Washington today regarding a $30 gift card. 

Mark your calendars for the Golden Hour Coffee Concert on Wednesday, May 13th at 7:00pm. Sign up sheets are posted outside the band room if you’re interested in performing!

Do you like writing? Would you like to attend a writing workshop? Susan Musgrave is an acclaimed Canadian writer, poet, and editor who will be hosting a writing workshop at Stelly's on May 29th during blocks 3 and 4. Susan Musgrave has been labelled everything from eco-feminist, from stand up comedian, to poet of doom and gloom, from social and political commentator to wild sea-witch of Canada's Northwest coast. If you are interested in attending this workshop, please see Ms. Pacheco-Mckinnon in the Learning Commons.  There are only 30 seats for this very exciting opportunity.

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to the Jr Girls soccer team for winning the City championship yesterday against Spectrum. They fought hard coming back twice and pushed the game to penalty kicks before securing the trophy! Come check it out in the office! They play in the island championships next week. Go Stingers!

GRAD 2026

Registration for attendance at the Dry After Grad Celebration opens TODAY via the website: https://stellys-dry-after-grad.square.site/dry-after-grad-payment and costs $25 per attendee.  Payment can also be made in person during lunch in the school lobby on May 6, 7 & 8 via cash, cheque or debit/credit tap (Interac debit preferred).

The next After Grad planning meeting is Thursday, May 7, at 6:30pm. We are meeting on the family side of Brewsky's. All grad parents are welcome.
