GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

Clubs Day has been postponed to a later date - please stay tuned. 

Grade 12 French Immersion K - 12 Gift Exchange on Tuesday, February 27 from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Participating students should meet in the large gym.

The Coldest Night of the Year event is happening this Saturday, February 24th, in Downtown Victoria and our school is participating! Donations are graciously accepted and can be made by visiting the CNOY website to sponsor our group. Any donations help!

Any students interested in going to Spain and Portugal next March, 2025, please go to an information meeting on Tuesday, February 27th at lunch in Ms Lizama's room 49.

ATHLETICS

Good luck to the Senior Boys Basketball team at the Island Championships this weekend!

First Badminton practice will be Friday March 1st from 2:40-3:40pm. We will meet in the large gym. Remember to bring appropriate gym attire.

Junior Girls Volleyball Drop In activity that is open to all grade 9 and 10 girls. This will be happening on Tuesdays after school and starts Feb 27! Girls did not need to play on the A or B team this season. Come out for some Queen’s Court style games and warm up. More information available when you attend on the 27th.

GRAD 2024

Stelly’s After Grad is raising money in support of the 2024 grads! There is a bottle drive on Saturday February 24th from 9 to noon in the Stelly’s parking lot. They are still looking for volunteers to help out so if you can spare some time, please come by and lend a hand! If you have any refundables you’d like to donate, please drop them off on Saturday - no sorting required.

CAREER CENTRE

Fun local job opportunity! Central Saanich Little League is looking for both grill and concession attendants for the baseball season from April to June. Earn $17/hr and up having fun gaining skills, earning cash and making friends.

Looking to volunteer? The Inspire Cup International Gymnastics Competition is looking for volunteers.  This event will be at the Victoria Convention Centre March 1-3.  Volunteer positions are available in the following areas: athlete registration, volunteer check-in, and working as an access monitors.  Each volunteer gets free admission to the competition for the entire day that they volunteer.

If you identify as a girl and are looking to develop some leadership skills - you're in luck! Minerva presents "Learning to Lead" for girls in Grade 10-12. The four sessions take place over zoom in April once per week for two hours.

Earn your Emergency First Aid with CPR / AED Level C at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney on Saturday, April 6th. First Aid skills are super important life skills and they look great on a resume.
