Cafeteria Menu

GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

The school cafeteria will be closed Thursday and Friday this week - pizza sales will be offered during the lunch blocks for both of these days, $3/slice! Sales will be in the cafeteria, however, the regular cafeteria offerings (drinks, snacks, entrees, etc) will be unavailable.

If you haven’t already picked up your online school order, they are now available just in time for the holidays! If you purchased clothing from our Passion Sports school store, please come down to room 19 at lunch to pick it up.

Today’s School Spirit week theme is Holiday colours, Thursday is ugly sweaters and Friday is Jingle Jammies! Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun!

Join the Junior Concert Band, Senior Concert Band and Jazz Band students along with some special guests as they dazzle you with holiday entertainment. They will be performing tonight at 7pm in the MPR (doors at 6:30), entry by donation. There will also be a bake sale at intermission.

This is the last push for donations towards our Kindness Drive! Block 2 classes are encouraged to fill a donation box with food items and home basics to help support our local families. With these donated goods, Leadership students will be putting together hampers for our local families and any extras will be donated to the Sidney Food Bank. If we all give a little it will help greatly.  Ideas for items include:

  • Cereal, Canned Tomatoes, School Snacks, Juice, Canned Fruit, Pasta Sauce, Cake / Muffin Mix, Helpers (Instant Potatoes / Hamburger Helper), Canned Meat, Pancake Mix
  • Diapers, formula, baby food, baby wipes
  • Shampoo / Conditioner / Body Wash / toothbrushes
  • Socks, mittens, gloves, toques (new/gently used)

All classes that collect a minimum of 10 items will be entered into a classroom draw for PRIORITY seating at the staff Holiday Show on the 22nd! If your family is in a position to support beyond what is mentioned above, please consider a cash donation or a food/Walmart gift card to support our local families.  Cash donations can be accepted in the office or can be set up through your child’s online school fees.  This would require you to contact Mrs. Youell at dyouell@saanichschools.ca. Gift cards can be dropped off at the office.

The lost and found table keeps having things added instead of taken away. Please swing by the table next to the main office and see if there is something of yours. All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday!
