GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

If you are interested in joining the Wali Shah book club, please sign up in the Learning Commons by this Friday. We will be meeting on Mondays at lunch after the winter break.

A reminder to Spain/Portugal students that there will be a meeting this Wednesday at lunch in Ms Lizama's room. See you there! 

Stelly’s Senior Musical Theatre presents “Matilda”! Shows are coming up in January 2025 and tickets are available now (use promo code Matilda2025 for discounted tickets until December 31st)! Tickets are available online here, or purchased from the main office (which will then be emailed as an e-ticket).

Social Leadership are continuing to collect donations for our Holiday Hamper Drive, which runs until December 16th in block 1 classes! We are inviting each block 1 class to take responsibility for building a hamper that will be delivered to a family in the Stelly’s community in the week before Winter Break. Please bring donations of non-perishable food items to your block 1 class and help feed a family during the holidays. A wish list can be found on our Instagram post (@sd63stellys)

December 11 - Grad Winter Formal (doors at 6:30pm, entry no later than 7pm)

 

December 12 - Parent After Grad Meeting in Learning Commons at 7pm

 

December 18 - Stelly’s Band Holiday Concert at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). Admission is by donation and everyone is welcome!

 

December 20 - Stelly’s staff will be offering up a pancake breakfast starting at 7:30am! Staff, students and families are all welcome to attend!

 

December 21 - January 5 - Winter Break

GRAD 2025

The Parent After Grad Committee will be meeting this Thursday at 7pm in the Stelly’s Learning Commons. If you are a parent of a 2025 grad, please consider joining us for updates and planning for the After Grad event on June 26th.

 

SCRAP METAL RECYCLING: There’s a large blue metal recycling bin in the upper parking lot by the street that is awaiting your scrap metal donations. If you have any metal stuff at home, in your yard or in the shed that you want to get rid of, it’s accessible 24/7 for drop-off and proceeds go towards the 2025 Stelly’s Dry Grad!

 

CAREER CENTRE

 

Volunteers Needed for Holiday Hampers! KELSET elementary school needs your help to assemble holiday hampers on Tuesday, December 17 from 3-6 pm. (1-hour shifts) Sign up here.

 

Thinking about a career in medicine? Two medical students from the University of British Columbia will be here next Tuesday, December 17th @ lunchtime in the Career Centre. They will be speaking about careers in medicine and how to apply to medical school.
