GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
The BIPOC and Allies club will meet at lunchtime today in the conference room.
Attention Stelly’s Stingers, do you like to act, dance or sing? Sign up for the last coffee concert of the year taking place on *May 7th*. The sign-up sheet is located outside the band room. Sign-ups close on *Wednesday April 30* so get your name in soon!
Are you a grade 11 student who is interested in helping shape the activities and events of your grad year next year? If so, please come to an information session to learn about being a part of the Grad exec for Grad 2026 on Thursday, May 1st at lunch in room 43 (Ms Tamboline's room).
There will be an Italy & Greece Trip next Spring Break. If you are interested in going on this trip, there will be an information meeting Friday May 2nd after school in the Career Centre.
Please note that on Monday April 28th, Stelly’s is an Elections Canada voting place, meaning we will have extra traffic around the school for the entire day. Please use caution in the parking lot and surrounding areas, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. Thank you for your patience.
ATHLETICS
Congratulations to the Stelly’s Golf Team (Owen, Levi, Seth, Dallas and Evan) who played a 2-day tournament at Olympic View and placed 17th out of 34 teams! A huge shout out to Owen who won the tournament in the individual category! Way to make us proud Stingers!
There is a tennis meeting today at lunch in room 24.
May 6 - The Junior & Senior Boys Rugby teams play at 3:45pm

April 26 - Grad Bottle Drive - happening in the Stelly’s parking lot from 9am to 12pm! We hope you will come out and drop off any refundable containers to support our 2025 Grads with the After Grad fundraising!
May 7 - End of Year Coffee Concert at 7pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. Doors open at 6:30pm and admission is by donation. Contact @stellysperformingarts to reserve a table in advance.
May 16 - Pro-D Day (school not in session)

Hey Grads! Spirit Days wrap up today with Soccer Moms vs BBQ Dad’s!
If you haven’t already turned in your grad package forms, please do so as they are now overdue.
Tuesday April 29th - Mandatory Grad Rehearsal line up and Valedictorian Speak-Off in the large gym at lunch.
Tuesday April 29th - Grad Movie Night at 7:15pm, doors open at 7pm (information is in Google Classroom and on Instagram).
The Dry After Grad Online Silent Auction is NOW OPEN and we have lots of amazing items! Please help support the grad parents in putting on an amazing event for our grads following their school sponsored dinner/dance. The auction runs until May 2nd and you can access the link here. SCRAP METAL RECYCLING: There’s a large blue metal recycling bin in the upper parking lot by the street that is awaiting your scrap metal donations. If you have any metal stuff at home, in your yard or in the shed that you want to get rid of, it’s accessible 24/7 for drop-off and proceeds go towards the 2025 Stelly’s Dry Grad.
CAREER CENTRE
Are you a female in grade 11 or 12 interested in learning about what it takes to work in emergency services? Island Ignite Fire Camp is coming to Victoria this July. Sign up here by May 4th or see us in the Career Centre.
CiCan World of Choices Summit is coming to Camosun Thursday, May 29. It’s an opportunity for students to explore a variety of trades and technology areas. Sign up for this field trip in the Career Centre.
Are you a grade 11 student interested in a career in Health? Health X Day is happening at Camosun on Friday, May 9th. Sign up at the Career Centre. The deadline to apply is May 2nd.
PLAN A is a paid work experience summer program offered to students in grade 11 & 12 who are interested in a career in Carpentry. The deadline to apply is April 30th. Come to the Career Centre for more information and application forms.
