GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

Just a reminder that today and tomorrow will be the Copernican schedule (please see description in “Important Dates” below).

Are you interested in travelling to Spain and Portugal next year during Spring Break? Please go see Ms. Lizama in room 49 to pick up an information package.

Big Band Jazz Party at Hermann’s, featuring Bayside Big Band and Stelly’s Jazz Band, happening on Monday April 22nd. Doors open at 6pm and music is 7-9pm. We have a few tickets left in the Stelly’s School main office for $15 (adults) and $10 (students)!

On Wednesday April 24th, Stelly’s students will be collecting non-perishable foods and monetary donations in support of the Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank. They will be in the areas of Saanichton, Keating and Brentwood Bay - stay tuned for more information!

In order to streamline phone calls coming in, please note our updated attendance phone number (and change it in your phone if it is a contact 🙂). You may now call in to 250-652-4401 and select option #1 to report any student absences (illness, vacation, appointments, etc), late or early pickups. Our previous attendance line (250-544-0300) will be disconnected at the end of June. Our email attendance contact remains the same (stellys_attendance@saanichschools.ca).

GRAD 2024

Are you interested in attending Kings University? There will be a representative here at Stelly’s on Thursday April 18th in the main foyer at lunch. Come and check it out!

If you’re planning on attending UVic in the Fall, they are still accepting applications!

Hey grads! Would you like to reduce the cost of your dinner dance ticket? There is a fundraising opportunity selling hanging baskets and bedding plants. Each item sold earns you $5 towards your dinner dance ticket.

There’s still time to get your 50/50 tickets in support of the 2024 Grads! The parent planning committee has a 50/50 draw that started on March 13th and will be drawn live at their meeting this Wednesday, April 17th! Help support the students’ After Grad party by purchasing your 50/50 tickets online here!

Grad packages were handed out to students on Friday at the assembly and are due this Friday, April 19th! If you missed picking yours up, please come by the office to get one.

GRAD 2025

For our current grade 11’s, the Grad Executive is looking for next years’ Executive Planning Committee. If this is something you are interested in, please come to an informational meeting on Thursday April 18th.

The 2024 Sidney and Saanich Peninsula Job Expo is happening April 30th from 3-6pm at SHOAL Centre. Looking for work? Come find your fit. 

Extreme Fastball needs volunteers to work their concession through the baseball season, during evenings and weekends. Learn how to work the grill, prep food, handle cash and cards and have a great time doing it! This is a great way to build skills for your resume.
