GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
June 2026 marks the 57th anniversary of the #Stonewall Uprising and commemorates its status as a symbol of the LGBTQ+ rights movement.
Attention Stingers - All library and text books are due on Monday, June 15th. Search your lockers, your rooms, your cars, your classrooms, and get them in ASAP!
Block 3 Foods 9/10 students...... PLEASE come directly to the Foods room at the end of Blk 2 today.
The cafeteria is no longer accepting IOU’s for the remainder of the year. All outstanding money owed must be paid by June 16th.
Fish Foster or Adopter wanted: Do you like cool fish? We are looking for someone who would like to adopt some fish for the summer. These are really cool, beautiful, charismatic and some rare fish. They are really fun to take care of! Food & tanks provided. See Mr. Siebert in room 40 for details.
Opening night is TONIGHT for the Stelly’s Senior Drama Production of “THE CHOSEN ONE(s)”. Shows start tonight at 7pm and run on the 12th and 13th at 7pm with a matinee at 1pm on June 13th also. There are still tickets available, so come by the main office to buy yours for just $10 each.
GSA is happening in room 48 today at lunch. Help us plan Pride events - everyone welcome!
Hey Stingers! There is one day left to get your clothing donation in! Bring your lightly worn clothing items to the designated bin in the Stellys foyer by tomorrow, June 12th. All clothing items will be donated to Sanctuary youth! Participating in this clothing drive is an exciting opportunity to help out struggling teens in our community!
Parents of the Class of 2027- fundraising for the 2027 After Grad event starts this month! The first monthly bottle drive is Saturday, June 27th, from 9am to noon in the Stelly's parking lot, and volunteers are needed. The Class of 2027 is in need of a coordinator for the 2026/2027 monthly bottle drives. If you are interested, please email the 2026 After Grad Committee: stellysdrygrad@gmail.com, or come to the June 27th bottle drive and talk to the 2026 bottle drive coordinator.

ATHLETICS
Stelly's year-end athletics banquet will be held this evening from 6-8pm in the Large Gym. If you played on any of the school's athletic teams this year, please come and join us for some food and awards. Hope to see you all there!
GRAD 2026
Upcoming activities for 2026 grads
- Cap and gown walk is Friday June 12. If you took a cap home to decorate, please remember to bring it back to school this week. Grads who would like to decorate a cap can see Mrs Dildy.
Are you going to Prom? Are you bringing a guest? All Prom - Dinner Dance tickets for grads and guests are now overdue! See Mrs. Youell in the accounting office near the main foyer to pay your $125 per ticket. You can also pay online through your student school account.
Grads, the After Grad Committee will be collecting your casual clothes for the After Grad event after the Walk of Honour on June 12th before school on June 15th, at lunch on June 17th, and after school (3-3:30pm) on June 18th. Please include the following: a comfortable change of clothes, shoes, socks, and a hanger for your formal wear. Also recommended are a suit/dress bag for your formal wear and an empty water bottle. All items should be in a bag clearly labeled with your name.
Attention Grads - The Ineligibility List has been updated as of June 2nd. Please check it to ensure your student number isn't listed. If it is, you need to see Mrs. Pryer in the office ASAP. This is YOUR responsibility - please don’t assume you are in good standing.
BCTransit is offering grade 12 students free bus rides for any two days in June. The GradPASS program aims to help students consider all transportation options when planning a safe ride home at graduation time, and throughout their lives. Come to the office to get your pass!

CAREER CENTRE
Berry Up Farm is looking for students to help with irrigation & weeding this weekend, June 13 &14th - minimum pay is $18/hr ($20/hr if you bring (any 3) your own shovel, trowel, 5 gallon pail, and hand clippers). If you are available, please text/call Kathy at 236-882-1869.

If you are in grade 9,10 or 11 and will be working this summer and would like to earn grade 12 credit, please come to the career centre to start your work experience.
KELSET Elementary is looking for volunteers to help with their Spring Fair on Friday, June 12th from 5-8pm. Earn volunteer hours by running carnival games or helping with set up/take down. Sign up here.
SISP INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM STUDENTS
Monday June 15 - Year End Pizza Lunch and Program Farewell for all international students during lunch block in the Learning Commons. Remember to bring your Canadian Flags that day so you can collect signatures! We look forward to seeing everyone there.
