Reminder to our French Immersion grade 12s that the annual K-12 gift exchange is coming up this evening. The dress code is business casual - see you at 5:30pm!

 

Are you single this Valentine's Day? Head down to the Learning Commons to go on a blind date with a book.  All week, students may select a secret blind date book. 

 

Stelly's Robotics Club is having their first meeting this Wednesday in room 32 at lunch.

 

A reminder to all returning and new D&D adventurers that campaigns begin again THIS Thursday at 4:45. See you there!

 

Are you writing an upcoming Waterloo Math contest?  Or do you just like to solve math puzzles and problems?  Work together with others to figure out past problems and learn strategies of approach!  Come to room 35 on Tuesdays at lunch.

 

Are you interested in being part of the Parkland Sailing Academy this Spring? This program is open to Parkland & Stelly’s students. The season runs April 12 to June 14, 2026, and takes place at the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club. Practices are twice a week - a weekday after school, and a morning or afternoon session on Sundays. Please email your expression of interest and any questions to Ms Caroline Hassett - chassett@saanichschools.ca.  You may also register online from the Sailing Academy section on Parkland’s website here. The deadline is March 1st.

 

Today is your last chance to buy Candygrams in the main foyer for $2. They will be distributed on February 12th.

ATHLETICS

 

CONGRATULATIONS to the Jr Girls Basketball team who are the Tier 2 City Champions! Way to go Stingers!

 

Any boys interested in playing rugby this year, there will be a meeting at lunch today in the big gym.

CAREER CENTRE

 

Butchart Gardens will be holding their annual job fair Wednesday, February 18 | 5:30pm-7:30pm. They are recruiting for spring and summer employment. If you need help with your resume and cover letter, see us in the Career Centre. 

 

The Canadian Armed Forces will be coming to the Career Centre Thursday, February 19 at lunchtime to talk to students about different career opportunities. 

 

Skills Canada Competitions are coming to Camosun March 6th. Show your skills, compete, and have fun!. For a list of events and to sign up, see your Career teacher. The deadline to apply is February 19th.

 

DND is coming to the Career Centre Monday, March 2nd @ lunchtime to talk to students about their paid summer work experience program (FSWEP). Students will be working in unique trades to support the naval fleet.

If you are interested in this program, please come to the Career Centre for an application form.
