GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Today is Pizza day! Just a reminder that the cafeteria will be closed, meaning no morning break or lunch service. We will have pizza available for sale, $3/slice, lineup through the cafeteria.
A reminder that there is a meeting TODAY at lunch in Ms Lizama's room for all students going to Portugal and Spain, or those interested in going. Please quickly grab your lunch and be sure to attend! See you there.
Attention Stelly’s Stingers, do you like to act, dance or sing? Sign up for the last coffee concert of the year taking place on November 6th. The sign-up sheet is located outside the band room. Sign-ups close this Friday so get your name in soon!
Anyone who is 16 or 17 years old, a resident of BC, and a Canadian citizen can sign up, so they are automatically registered to vote when they turn 18. You will need your driver's licence number, care card OR BCEID. It takes under five minutes to complete the form. Please see Ms. Pacheco McKinnon in the Learning Commons for details. Also, A reminder to students who still have their forms to please return them to the Learning Commons by Friday.
Twilight fans—get ready to go back to the place where your obsession began. Leanne Hockley from Victoria, author of Something About Alexa, is coming to Stelly's on October 30 during block 3! Book signing and books for purchase for $15. Please come with the correct change. Please see Ms. Pacheco McKinnon in the Learning Commons by October 23 if you are interested in attending.
Book club members, please come by the Learning Commons and pick up your copy of Something about Alexa.
Are you looking for some volunteer hours or to have fun at the beach? Join us for a beach cleanup on Saturday, October 26th at Island View Beach! All equipment will be provided, and anyone is welcome. Bring your friends and sign up in your grade level Google Classroom!

ATHLETICS
Jr Boys Basketball: For anyone interested in trying out for the Jr boys basketball team, we have a meeting today at Lunch in the big gym. If you can't make it to the meeting, please see Mr. Peden or Mr. Hunt to sign up. We will also be having an open gym today after school in the small gym. Jr boys tryouts will begin next week.

GRAD 2025
Diploma Verification forms were handed out to grade 12 students in their block 1 class last Wednesday. If you did not receive yours, please check with your block 1 teacher (for those with a spare in block 1, please see Ms. Pacheco-McKinnon)
Grad photos start today! The online booking is open for grads to schedule their photo session (which is October 23 to November 1st, by appointment)! The online booking link is here. Please note there is no 8-digit code, parents can search by city (Saanichton) and province. The location for photos will be in classroom 13, across from the weight room.
Grads, on Wednesday October 30th, grab your carving tools and come out to the outdoor amphitheatre to participate in Pumpkin Carving! Sign up your team in the Grad Google Classroom today!
