GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

Twilight fans—get ready to go back to the place where your obsession began. Leanne Hockley from Victoria, author of Something About Alexa, is coming to Stelly's on October 30 during block 3! Book signing and books for purchase for $15. Please come with the correct change. Please see Ms. Pacheco McKinnon in the Learning Commons by October 23 if you are interested in attending.
The FREE Clothing Rack is overflowing with some great items. See something you like? Take it and wear it. If you have some clothes to donate, please drop them off to Mrs. Vop or the Textiles room.
School photos: For those families that ordered & paid online, we have some that have arrived! Please have yourself, or your student, pick them up from the main office.
Speaking of photos, we still have some student proofs in the office that haven’t been picked up yet. If you have not received your proof package, please stop by the office.
Do you know a 2024 Stelly’s Graduate? Please let them know that their high school diploma is now available in the school’s main office for pickup!

ATHLETICS
Congratulations to the Junior Girls Maroon Volleyball team who beat Vic High in both sets and split sets with Spectrum during their games on Wednesday! Good luck to the Maroon team who have an upcoming tournament at Belmont today!
Good luck to our Aquatics team who are off to compete in the Vancouver Island Aquatics Championships this weekend in Nanaimo! Go Stingers!
Come on out on Monday the 21st to cheer on the Junior Girls Maroon Volleyball team who will play a home game!

GRAD 2025
Diploma Verification forms were handed out to grade 12 students in their block 1 class on Wednesday. If you did not receive yours, please check with your block 1 teacher (for those with a spare in block 1, please see Ms. Pacheco-McKinnon)
The online booking is officially open for grads to schedule their Grad photos (October 23 to November 1st, by appointment)! The online booking link is here. Please note there is no 8-digit code, parents can search by city (Saanichton) and province.

CAREER CENTRE
Have you considered working as a hair stylist? Did you know that hair styling is a trade and you can achieve all the way up to a Red Seal Certification? And did you also know that SD63 will pay for you to take your Level One Hairstylist Certificate, which is worth over ten thousand dollars AND that it counts as 44 credits? Learn more on Tuesday, October 22nd at lunch in the Career Centre! We will have current Hair Program students here to share about their experience. You should come!
