GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

There will be a meeting to kick off our cross-country season in room 19 today during the lunch break. Speak to Mr. Loenen or Ms. Miller if you have any questions. Reminder: running is a fantastic way to improve your cardiovascular fitness! Join us for a race and see improvements in all other athletic pursuits!

The first GSA meeting will be this Thursday the 12th at lunchtime in room 48. Everyone is welcome!!

A message from the Learning Commons: Please remember to return all overdue textbooks to the Learning Commons as soon as possible. You will not be issued new text books if you have overdue books.  Grade nine students may return their Bayside textbooks to our Learning Commons.

We are excited to welcome all of our families to Stelly’s this year with a Welcome Back BBQ and meet-the-teacher evening on Thursday September 12th. The schedule can be found below.  Child Minding is available for those families with young children.

• 7:15 - 8:15: Learning Session with Tina Savae on The Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada

Clubs Day is coming up on Friday September 13th at lunchtime in the main foyer! This is your chance to dive into the amazing world of clubs and activities that Stelly’s has to offer. Whether you’re into fishing, creative writing, Dungeons & Dragons, or paddling, there’s something for everyone!

GRAD 2025

On Wednesday September 18th, parents of 2025 Grads are invited to the first Parent Grad Meeting in the Learning Commons beginning at 7pm 

ATHLETICS

For students interested in Cross Country, the first meeting is today at lunch in room 19.

Junior Boys Soccer tryouts are Thursday (12th) from 3:15 to 4:30 on the back field

Senior Boys Soccer tryouts are Thursday (12th) from 2:15 to 3:30 happening on the back field. See you all there!

CAREER CENTRE

Keep those orange forms coming to the Career Centre folks, you have until the end of day tomorrow to hand them in.

Applications for Fire Camp are in the Career Centre, they're due THIS Friday the 13th of September so come get on it if you want in on Fire Camp!

The Canadian University Event or "CUE" Field Trip is coming up next Tuesday, September 17th. Grade 11's and 12's interested in attending a Canadian University - don't miss out on a chance to meet with University Rep's from across Canada in a fun & casual setting! A bus will be leaving Stelly's at 12:45 and will bring you back to catch your bus home. Forms are available in the Career Centre (room 45) and are due this Friday.

SISP INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM STUDENTS

There is a mandatory Homestay Meeting during Lunch Block today.  All international students must attend.  Please bring your own lunch.

School photo day is coming up on Monday the 16th and Lifetouch will be offering lower prices on photo packages. Stay tuned for information that will come home with the student photo proof package.
