GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Congratulations to the Stelly’s Marching Band for a very successful parade last night - great representation of school and community! And we couldn’t have done it without our wonderful helpers -thank you to all the student and adult helpers!
Kindness Drive: Our food banks are being accessed more than ever and we can help. Block 2 classes are asked to fill a donation box with food items and home basics to help support the Sidney Food Bank. Check out the posters around the school and on your class donation box for a list of recommended items. All classes that collect a minimum of 10 items will be entered into a classroom draw for PRIORITY seating at the Staff Holiday Show on the 22nd!
Attention Stelly’s Swim team: Our team dinner on Thursday Dec. 7th is cancelled due to a conflict with other events. We have a team photo on Wed. Dec. 6th, Please meet in Mr. Siebert's classroom right at the end of block 2 at 11:15 am.
Stelly’s Grad Winter Formal tickets are on sale TODAY until December 5th. Tickets are $25 each, for grads only. Also on sale are Grad lanyards - $5 each.
We have some bus cards left as well as photo packages available for pick up in the main office. If you ordered a photo package and haven’t received it yet, please come by and check.
Grade 9 Immunization forms are due back to the school ASAP. If you haven’t already done so, please return your students’ completed form in the envelope to the main office.

Junior Girls basketball team have a game today at 4:15 at Mt. Doug.
Junior Boys basketball team have a game today at 5:45 at SMUS.
Senior Girls basketball team have a HOME GAME tonight starting at 7:15.

CAREER CENTRE
Deep Cove Elementary PAC is seeking volunteers for their Winter Fair on Friday, December 8th from 3:30-8:30pm. Your duties would include helping to run the games, crafts, etc ... and each volunteer earns five free tickets and free fair entrance!
Sidney Scones in hiring a part-time front-of-house person with flexible availability. They offer free scones, a fun working environment and awesome training. Pop into the shop anytime between Thursday-Monday at 9762 Third Street with your resume.
Some of the many wonderful things about living on the coast are the opportunities to play and work at sea. Additionally - you can join the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets; a program open to youth between the ages of 12-18 that teaches teamwork, problem solving, communication .. all through the lens of a maritime focus. Interested? Mark your calendar for Thursday, December 7th - we will have an information booth in the Career Centre. You should come.
Speaking of a career at sea, right now Camosun is offering a fully funded program open to all Indigenous and women who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. It's the Bridge Watch Rating Program and it's an introduction to a nautical career .. which can range from sailing the world on a cruise ship, oil tankers, BC Ferries or captaining Little Wayne's super yacht!

SISP INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM STUDENTS
Whistler Trip Students - There is a mandatory meeting for all students participating in the Whistler trip on Tuesday December 5 in the Learning Commons during lunch block.
SISP Christmas Dance - The SISP Christmas Dance Party is this Thursday from 5:30-8:30 pm! If you have not yet registered, sign up information can be found in google classroom and/or on the event posters. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
