GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS

Thank you to everyone who came out to Meet the Teachers Night and BBQ, hosted by Stelly’s! Thank you to all who took time out of their busy schedules to come out and get acquainted with our staff and school community! It was wonderful to see so many of you in attendance!

Photos will be available online by tomorrow. Students and families will be able to scan their QR codes to view their photos and order, or enter their access code on Artona’s website: View and Order. All orders placed within 7 days of photo day will be shipped to the school free of charge. Any orders placed after this time will be shipped with retake day packages.

Are you curious about clubs and activities at the school? Join us today at lunch to see what groups are running this year! Warhammer to Tennis, Beading to BIPOC!

For any students who registered for the school bus at the end of June or beginning of summer, your bus passes are now available for pickup in the main office. They do need to be signed for to say you received it, so we are unable to distribute during first block. Please check in at the office to see if yours is in.

For students in Global Perspectives 11, your meeting is happening every Tuesday at lunch in the Learning Commons.

Student Verification Information Forms were sent out on Monday with students in their block 1 class. They are due on Monday September 15th, and must be signed by the parent or guardian, even if there are no changes. These documents are to verify student contacts, medical information & other critical information that is to be updated regularly. Parents and guardians, please make any changes directly on the form (if applicable), sign and date it, then send it back asap to your students’ block 1 teacher.

For Parents & Guardians: If your student will be absent, late or leaving early during school hours, we ask that you email stellys_attendance@saanichschools.ca to notify us so that we can update your students’ record appropriately. You may also phone in absences to 250-652-4401 (select option 1)

For those of you new to the school, or wanting to know where to pay for school activities/opportunities, our student fee payment portal is where it’s at (including, but not limited to, textbook deposit, activity fee, and yearbook purchase). You can find the link here - just follow the instructions for signing up or signing in. Please note that it’s recommended that yearbooks are pre-purchased prior to Spring Break to ensure your student gets one if they want one - we only order a few extras, so don’t miss out!
