GENERAL SCHOOL NEWS
Pride Fact of the Day: In 2014, Toronto became the first city in North America to host WorldPride. Toronto bid and won as host city for 2014. It's estimated that 2 million people attended the festivities.
Over 100 preordered yearbooks are still waiting to be picked up - swing by the office ASAP to see if yours is one of them! Unfortunately, there are no extra copies for sale if you didn’t get one on Friday.
2 students from the Global perspectives class are hosting a toy drive for Victoria General Hospital. All toys being donated will be given to the kids unit. All toys donated have to be either BRAND NEW, or NEVER EVER USED, to protect the kids from getting sick from germs. Please donate - boxes are in the main foyer this week.
All textbooks and library books are due TODAY! Make sure you get them back to the Learning Commons.
“An Evening of Performing Arts” is happening tomorrow at 7pm - doors open at 6:30 and tickets are $5 at the door.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day of regular classes before the Copernican Schedule. This will also be the last day of cafeteria service - there will be no food service during the Copernican days, so please come prepared with lunch and/or snacks.

GRAD 2025
If you are planning on attending After Grad (grads & guests included), the parent committee must have a liability waiver form signed by both the participant and their parent/guardian in order to be allowed entry into the event - no exceptions. It’s a requirement for insurance coverage. Please note that guests are also required to have a signed form on file so please bring both back if you are bringing an approved guest. If you did not receive this form, please see the office to pick one up. Forms are due back today, please.
Also, for those of you who have outstanding forms and payment ($25) for After Grad, please ensure you take care of this as soon as possible - this includes approved guests. Entrance to the event will be denied if the proper paperwork is not submitted and/or payment has not been received.

Let’s keep this amazing tradition going strong for next year’s grads!
If you are a parent of a current grade 11 who will have a graduating student next year, please consider volunteering with the Parent After Grad Committee on June 26th. This is a great opportunity to see how the evening flows and what activities you may want to offer your grad class. The After Grad event is a fun drug & alcohol-free evening that happens after the school dinner/dance, giving students the opportunity to be with their grad class one last time. If you are interested in being a part of or forming next years’ Parent Committee, please email stellysdrygrad@gmail.com.
